How does the barcode scanner work?

Point your device camera at any product barcode (UPC, EAN, QR code). The App decodes the barcode and checks it against our database of 74,000+ recalls from official government sources. You can also enter a barcode number manually.

Where does the recall data come from?

Our recall data is sourced from official government agencies including CPSC, FDA, NHTSA, USDA FSIS, US Coast Guard, and Health Canada. We update our database regularly to include the latest recalls.

Is the AI fact-checker reliable?

Our AI fact-checker uses OpenAI and cross-references claims against 100+ worldwide fact-checking organizations via the Google Fact Check Tools API. Results are informational and should be verified independently for critical decisions. AI-generated content is clearly labeled.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings in the App and tap "Delete Account." Your personal data will be removed within 30 days. You can also email us at support@letsfindoutllc.com to request account deletion.

Is my data secure?

Yes. We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, rate limiting, and security headers to protect your data. We do not sell your personal information. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Does the App work on all devices?

Let's Find Out works on iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets, and web browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge). The barcode scanner uses your device camera on all platforms.

What age rating is this App?

The App is rated 4+ (Everyone) and is suitable for all ages. It contains no objectionable content, no ads, no in-app gambling, and no user-generated content. The App uses AI-generated content for informational purposes, which is clearly labeled.
